This light, refreshing brown ale was infused with real coconut. Constructed using Maris Otter, 2-Row, Flaked Oats, and Acidulated Malt. Mosaic & Simcoe hops were added to the boil and the beer was dry-hopped with Amarillo & Mosaic. Duvel is a natural beer with a subtle bitterness, a refined flavour and a distinctive hop character. In honor of our 30th Anniversary we're honoring our brewing family tree. This full-flavored dark lager with roasty, nutty, and chocolate notes was brewed with our former head brewer, Tim Gossack, now at Bell's.

Sweet caramel flavor, hints of seasonal spices and a clean, malty finish. English floral hops, subtle malt sweetness and spicy, fruity notes from Belgian yeast make for a balanced yet magical combination. Sweet citrus, flowery herbal and complex spice aromas and flavors.
Boomtown Brewery
The beers here are brewed and poured in cask, which means robust flavors and little-to-no carbonation (it's a little odd to get used to, but quite tasty). For food options, expect a rotating cast of food trucks. This wickedly good golden ale is fiendishly dry-hopped with American hops to add a layer of complexity and mystery to its fruity, dry Belgian-style character. Citrus and resin diabolically combine with ripe melon, pear and slight peppery spice in a precariously effervescent mixture. Beginning with a big surge of fruity aromatics and grapefruit-hoppy notes, the flavor of this complex, straw-colored ale tapers off to a peppery, dry finish.

If you think you took a wrong turn and ended up in a warehouse yard, you’re at the right place. Boomtown Brewing is the most fun thing happening on this extra-industrial block of the Arts District, and somewhere you can fit a lot of people on a weekend afternoon. Between an alleyway and two giant warehouses, there’s plenty of seating.

With hints of sage, this balanced semi-sweet hard cider is impactful in more ways than just quenching your thirst. At Blake's Hard Cider, we seek equality, love, inclusion, and communal support. We are proud to partner with the Human Rights Campaign to support the LGBTQ community. Made entirely with apples and cascade hops from the same landscape, and in some cases the same farms, this cider is a tribute to those things that connect us. Zesty and citrus-y cider crafted with bright red Sicilian blood oranges. Our cajun styled spicy Shrimp and Grits, and spicy-sweet Ten-Spice Wings, are only a taste of what City Tap House offers.

Taste of sweet caramel malt, light corn and bready, light hop bitterness and lager yeast. One of the smallest breweries on this guide, Frogtown feels a bit like you’re hanging out in your friend’s garage, except there’s an industrial brewing set-up instead of an unused homebrew kit. The Lites Out pilsner is ideal if you’re there in the daytime (it’s only 4.1% ABV), but there's also a good selection of hazy and milkshake IPAs if you want to kick things up a bit in the evening. There's usually a food truck on-site most evenings, but you can also bring in food—on weekend afternoons our move is to walk over to Wax Paper right up the block for a post-pilsner sandwich.
We also provide you with the beer’s brewery of origin and proper pour size. Of course, if you have a question or need a recommendation, our knowledgeable staff can assist you. Sour ale consists of various blond ales that were barrel aged up to 12 months, then aged for 8 to 12 months on raspberries and apricot Noyaux. In the tradition of 18th Century brewers who supplied the court of Russia’s Catherine the Great. A rich, intense brew with big complex flavors and a warming finish.

City Tap believes that craft beer should be accessible to everyone. In Philadelphia 2010, we saw an opportunity to bring craft beer to the people. With a wide, open bar, a huge selection of taps, an extremely readable draft list, and regional (dare we say exceptional) cuisine, our sudsy dream became a reality. Intense Russian imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels and 100% bottle refermented. Pairs the spice and depth of Old World hops with fresh, citrusy notes from the New World, rounded out with subtle maltiness and bright acidity.
Open since late 2023, Solarc is one of the newer breweries in LA—and one of the most unique, too. Rather than a typical line-up of IPAs and lagers, this Glassell Park brewery specializes in gruit, a medieval style of beer made with bittering agents other than hops. At Solarc, that means beer flavored with things like wormwood, black tea, and turmeric, and fermented with wild yeasts collected around Los Angeles. Well-balanced, full-bodied blend of a strong English porter and a Germanic black lager. Intense mix of malts and hops, flavors of chocolate, coffee, and caramelized sugar.
Expect nearly 20 beers on the menu including crisp rice lagers, fruity sours, and a tasty California IPA humorously called the Nose Job. You’ll also usually find some kind of entertainment happening at any given time, from ping pong to pool to the occasional live DJ set. Triple-dry-hopped pale ale was conditioned on Ekuanot, Amarillo, and Galaxy hops to produce a complex, well-rounded hop character with hints of grapefruit, tangerine, and pine.

Homage Brewing is for people who love good beer but also want to dance. There’s a pleasant patio out front where you might spot a couple of toddlers with their tattooed parents. But the real scene is inside the garage, which has a long bar, a disco ball, and (on weekends) a DJ spinning vinyl. Most people come here to sip housemade IPAs and snack on masa-battered chicken wings during the day, but on Friday and Saturday nights, the dance floor is packed until 1am. Head there the next time you’re looking for a place to drink dry-hopped saisons and meet someone with a color-coordinated tote bag. Caramelized malty and spicy aromas redolent of cinnamon, allspice, black currant, black licorice.
Classic local Hefe with a touch of sweetness and subtle notes of banana and clove on the finish. First and foremost, we pride ourselves on organization. Crafting a beer list with dozens of choices shouldn’t be intimidating. Every beer is categorized by style and given a detailed flavor description so you know exactly what you’re drinking.
This all-Belgian brewery in Torrance was one of the first places on the West Coast to kick off the hazy/juicy IPA craze, with every brewery from here to Seattle following suit. Expect a rotating roster of food trucks in the evening, and a large selection of cans available to-go. LA's massive craft beer wave of the 2010s has long subsided, but there are still plenty of great places to drink a local pint. But hanging out in an LA brewery means more than just drinking good beer—it's about having a good time, too. From tiny tap rooms in the South Bay to sprawling warehouses in DTLA filled with games and dance floors, these are the 15 best breweries in LA. Craft beer, for some time, was an exclusive culture; it existed in the basements of homebrewers, on niche blogs, and in obscure, tucked away bars.
